SensiPro is the longest lasting, most cost effective colorant around. We tried a lot of liquid dyes before we found SensiPro and there is nothing like it. 1 gallon of SensiPro Granules treats almost 4 times as much water as a gallon of the most popular liquid dye. Try it for yourself and let us know what you think.
Does SensiPro control weeds?
Sensient does not make any product claims about weed control. However, in my experience, coloring your lake or pond is one of the best ways to control aquatic weeds. According to the Texas A&M Agrilife extension, colorants like SensiPro reduce aquatic plant growth by limiting sunlight penetration. For best results, try to apply Sensient before spring algae blooms occur.
How much dye do I need?
A lot of people want to know how much dye is required for their lake. This really depends on 2 things – the size of the lake and the desired color. An average ski lake that is 2200′ x 300′ x 6′ deep takes 3-4 gallons of SensiPro. Most people are only using blue but by adding in 20-25% black you can produce a deeper, more natural look.
